Phuket Villas

When I began planning my wedding I knew I wanted a destination wedding but the trips I looked at just did not fit my ideals. I wanted an experience that would leave me feeling like a queen, not just a bit pampered. I had many demands that simply could not be met at a hotel or even a major resort.

First and foremost, I wanted complete privacy for myself and my guests. It was extremely important to me that my guests and I be able to enjoy both our pre and post wedding time together in privacy. I did not want to have to deal with nosy neighbors putting there two cents in while my mother, bridesmaids, and I discussed how the decorations would be done. I already had heard enough, “When I got married…” scenarios for my liking. Besides that, I was concerned about the behavior of other guests.

I pictured over and over what could happen. I could just see another guest’s unruly child bursting through the doors of the hall in the middle of the ceremony. The child running through the make shift chapel screaming and completely disrupting the wedding. Or perhaps a drunkard crashing the party and running up the bar tab while schmoozing the guests and handing out business cards. These nightmares nearly made me change my mind about a destination wedding, but there was no other way to get the other things I wanted. Where other than a destination wedding could one have nearly a full week of family time, with privately catered meals and no interruptions?

I was beginning to think nowhere. In fact, I was even beginning to think I could not even get these things at a destination wedding. Then in my frustration I posted a cry for help in a wedding forum. One of the answers I received was the answer to my prayers. One of the brides gave me the web address for a company she was using. She told me that the company had been wonderful to work with and she was sure that I would be pleased.

She was absolutely right, I found the location I wanted almost immediately, a large villa just outside of Paris. It was completely private and the staff I spoke to said that all of the amenities I wanted could be arranged. So now I had a private villa large enough for all of my guests to stay in that came equipped with wait staff and a cook. All my problems were taken care of right? Not quite.

It seems that planning a wedding is not as easy as just finding a place to have it. I soon found that I would need a wedding coordinator. It was easy enough to find one here at home but when he suggested that I find a second one in France to work with us, I nearly fainted. How do I find a wedding planner in France? I thought it over and finally after several failed attempts at contacting someone I wrote the company I had booked the villa through. I told them I needed a wedding planner in France who spoke English and they said they would email me a list of prospects! So I got my big day just how I wanted it and it was so great we are considering going back for our tenth anniversary!

Many people do not want to think or consider what could be living inside your home that you can’t see. If you have pets, this thought becomes even more profound. However, those people that suffer from extreme allergies are forced to think about these things everyday. Allergy sufferers must take steps to protect their health by addressing what is causing their problems and preventing against it. For most, this includes protecting the mattress, box springs, pillows and bedding from allergens.

Encasing your bed is the most important step to controlling indoor allergens that live inside your home. Living inside everyone’s pillows, mattresses, blankets and comforters are dust mites. Dust mites live there, eat there and die there. There can be up to one million dust mites living in your bed just waiting to feast on your dead skin that falls into the bedding and mattress. There is also pollen, mold and dust that comes off of people entering the home or simply floats into our bedroom through an open window. All of these things thrive in our bedding and then cause us problems while we sleep. If you have a pet, the additional problem of pet dander can also be a problem.

All of these allergens cause allergic symptoms such as stiffness, runny nose and itchy, watery eyes. You can spend up to eight hours in your bed each day, so it’s important to protect this area of your home. Encasing your mattress can offer barrier protection for dust mites and any other bugs that might be living and thriving in your mattress. Encasing can be purchased for pillows and box springs also. The allergy causing agents will be trapped and cannot escape. This prevents you from breathing them and their fecal matter in while you sleep.

In addition to encasing your mattress, box springs and pillow with allergy proof coverings, it is also important to wash all bedding that cannot be covered regularly. This bedding should be washed every 10 to 14 days in water that is at least 130 degrees. The hot water will kill mites and rinse away allergies. There is also a line of laundry additives on the market that can kill dust mites in any temperature water.

Another tip is to use throw rugs instead of wall-to-wall carpeting in your home when possible. It is easier to clean these rugs and keep them dust mite free. If this is not an option, you can treat the carpet with anti-dust mite spray or power and use special vacuum bags to trap the allergens.

Other precautions include removing cloth drapes that can capture dust and use blinds instead. Dust furniture often and wash stuffed animals, blankets and other dust capturing items as often as possible in hot water. Keeping the humidity levels low can also discourage mold and dust mites. A dehumidifier can be helpful with this. Lastly, there are filters you can add to your HVAC system to prevent some allergens from ever entering your home.

Above all, encasing your mattress, pillows and box springs is the most important investment into reducing allergy symptoms. However, bring diligent about preventing and removing allergens from entering your home and living on other bedding and furniture items will go a long way to helping allergy sufferers as well.

In 1636, Europeans set up their first permanent settlement in the area at Providence, Rhode Island. Providence’s founding was initiated by Roger Williams, a Christian minister, and many people seeking religious freedom settled in Rhode Island. On May 29, 1790, the “State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations” became the 13th state.

With many islands, Rhode Island’s economy grew from fishing, shipbuilding, farming, and trade. Textile mills arrived during the 19th century; in the post-World War II era, machinery, jewelry, and silverware were produced in the state. Higher education and service industries are important to the Rhode Island economy today.

At one time, Newport, Rhode Island was a summer playground for the wealthy. While many of Newport’s mansions have been preserved for their historic significance, vacationers still enjoy watersports in Narragansett Bay and at the Atlantic Ocean beaches.

The colony of Rhode Island was never popular among its neighbors. As Doyle says, “Rhode Island was to New England what New England as a whole was to the mother country” — an outcast child that in the end brought glory to the parent state. Rhode Island was excluded from the confederacy of 1643, and, moreover, it was harassed for years by the claims upon its territory by Massachusetts and Connecticut. But the people were plucky and they successfully defended their rights, and in spite of external encroachments and internal dissensions the colony grew in strength and importance, and its trade extended in every direction.

Payroll is important whether you business is large, small, or somewhere in between. The method you use to handle payroll can make a serious difference in the bottom line of your company. If you are looking for a way to save time and money in the payroll process, it is a good idea to consider investing in an online payroll service. One important reason is the tremendous amount of time savings that result when you make the switch to online payroll services. Often times, several hours each pay period are no longer necessary.

All the details of calculating payroll are also no longer on the accounting department or human resources. Payroll taxes, wages, and deductions are all calculated automatically through the software. The main goal of managers and business owners is not how to figure out payroll taxes, but is to figure out how to grow their business and provide their customers with the best services and products possible. Not only does an automated system make sure that everything is calculated, it can also ensure that checks or direct deposits are sent out on time. Nothing can create unhappy employees like a late check or an incorrect check can.

Online payroll services tend to be less expensive than more traditional means of handling payroll for a variety of reasons. The overhead involved with these systems is much lower than payroll services where all the calculations are handled manually. Submitting payroll online allows you to do it at a time that is convenient for you and not on an arbitrary schedule set by a payroll services company. This kind of flexibility alone is a good reason to consider switching to an automated payroll service. Being able to preview payroll before it goes out allows you to double check for any last minute errors or mistakes without having to actually compile payroll yourself.

Online payroll systems ensure that employees get paid quickly and this fact will likely encourage all employees to use the systems and make sure that they input their information and expenses as soon as possible. If there are any issues with payroll information, emails can be sent out quickly and the matter can be rectified so that there are no unnecessary delays in sending out checks or reimbursing expenses. If payroll policy information is available this can be an excellent resource for employees who have questions about certain practices and policies can even be attached to payroll information, so that as employees fill out their information, they know why certain policies are in place.

The time and monetary savings provided by online payroll services are undeniable. Your company should be taking advantage of those benefits. In order to do so though, you have to put in the time and research required to choose a good service, one that is adapted to the specific needs of your company. If you do so you will likely be rewarded by finding a company that is perfectly suited to handle your company’s needs. Then you will be able to start enjoying the benefits that come with online payroll services.

For a traditional store, they say, the three most important things for its success are location, location, location. For a web-business the three most important factors in its success are location, location, location. However, for the web retailer, location means something else entirely.

A website’s location within the search engine rankings determines the amount of traffic it receives in the same way that a brick and mortar business’s location determines the number of people who walk in the front door. The first key to choosing the right search engine location is choosing which search engine terms will be used by those potential customers who are in the market for the goods or services that your web business provides. There are several ways to go with this and you can choose more than one. First, you can think about categories. For example, if you are in the business of selling pet supplies, then you most likely want to aim for high placement for the search term “pet supplies.” That’s a no brainer.

You also however, will want to capture solid search engine ranking for more narrow categories and even top-selling individual products. You may want to seek good search engine locations for terms like “cat toys” or “dog sweaters” or whatever products are most likely to be searched by potential customers. An SEO marketer can help you identify the search terms in your business category that receive the highest number of queries. The most current research shows that the majority of those who use search engines, are entering two word phrases, but that doesn’t mean you need to limit your targeted keywords to just two words. You want terms that are likely to deliver highly targeted traffic to your web site, and although shorter keyword phrases may deliver more volume, the more specific the search phrase, the tighter the targeting will be.

Once you’ve selected a series of keywords that apply to your business, you need to go to work to increase your website’s ranking for those terms on each of the major search engines. Google is, far and away, the most popularly used search engine in the country and in the world. It not only leads the other search engines in volume, but if you combined the searches conducted on every other search engine, Google still has more traffic. Microsoft’s Bing and Yahoo! are second and third, each with a little under ten percent of total search engine traffic.

While there are differences in how each search engine ranks a website’s popularity, there are enough similarities such that the things you do to increase rankings on Google should also help with the other search engines as well.

Some major national web businesses use offline advertising to build awareness of their website. Most of us have seen Yahoo! television commercials, for example. A few years back, pets.com mounted a huge offline advertising program to try to deliver customers to its website. Ultimately, however, that effort failed and the company went bankrupt. For some national brands, a significant amount of web traffic can be built this way, even so, the majority of their business will come from search engine queries.

Every year, 25 to 100 billion dollars are lost to corporate espionage. This is quite a large sum of money. Some of the losses occur from foreign companies and governments stealing secrets from American companies, some of the losses occur from American companies stealing from their competition. Corporate spying can be done through “moles,” or employees who work for a competitor who gain employment at the company being stolen from. Corporate spying can also be done through electronic eavesdropping, where an agent of one company plants a listening device in an office or conference room, taps a phone line, or intercepts other forms of communication. As technology increases, corporate spying is increasingly occurring through computer networks. Companies sometimes hire computer hackers to break into a competitor’s network to steal as much documentation as possible. This can lay a company bare to a sneaky competitor making it completely vulnerable.

Because of the possibility of corporate spying, business leaders must remain on their toes. Information technology departments must do everything possible to secure computer networks to prevent unauthorized access from unscrupulous hackers. Office managers must maintain a high level security to ensure that unauthorized personnel cannot access company property to physically steal equipment or documents or plant video or listening devices to capture information during conversations. Hiring managers must investigate the backgrounds of all new hires that will have access to sensitive information to be sure that the potential employee is not a mole working for a competitor. Legal departments must ensure that every employee signs non-disclosure and non-compete agreements to ensure absolutely that all company proprietary information is kept in house on pain of civil or criminal punishment.

When an executive suspects that his company is being victimized or has been the victim of corporate spying, a private investigator can be hired to find out what has happened. Private investigators can perform forensic analysis on the computer network to determine if any unauthorized access has occurred. A private investigator can use counter-spying tools to sweep offices, conference rooms, and other areas of an office building for listening or video recording devices. A private investigator can even perform the service of acting like a corporate spy to probe the weaknesses of the company so that the holes can be plugged before an actual spy tries to gain unauthorized access.

With the very real threat of corporate spying, business leaders must be prepared to protect their sensitive data.

Moisture Analyzers

When proud new parents spread the news of the highly anticipated arrival of their little bundle of joy, what are the first things they tell you? Usually you will learn the sex of the baby and the name (if that information has not already been shared with everyone) followed immediately by the baby’s weight and length. As a new parent, when you send out the birth announcements, you proudly list all of your baby’s stats, select a choice photograph, and mail them off to everyone you know. The birth announcement is the baseball card of infancy.

The obsession with baby weight does not end when you leave the hospital with your precious new baby. Besides looking adorable, a baby’s main job for the first few months of life is to eat and gain weight. Parents eagerly look forward to every doctor visit so they can see first hand how much weight their little one has packed on since the last visit, which is a primary indication that we, as parents, are doing our job well.

It goes without saying that our youngest members of society cannot hop on the bathroom or doctor’s scale to check their weight, special baby and toddler scales are used weigh our young ones. Since babies rarely lay still (especially when laying naked on a hard cold surface) baby scales are specially designed to be highly accurate even when the pressure on the scale fluctuates as the baby wiggles and fusses. It seems that our aversion to scales starts very early in life.

Another important reason we weigh our babies is to accurately measure breast milk consumption. Many nursing mothers worry about their milk supply, and question weather or not their little ones are getting enough to eat. Since babies are more efficient at nursing than breast pumps are at pumping milk, the only true way to measure how much breast milk a baby is consuming while nursing is to weigh the baby both before and after a feeding. If the infant weighs 12 pounds 3 ounces before nursing and 12 pounds 6 ounces after nursing, the mother knows that their child gobbled up 3 ounces of breast milk during that particular feeding.

The practice of weighing babies before and after nursing is so common that lactation consultants routinely have concerned mothers come into their office or hospital to nurse their child so they can get either the peace of mind that their child is getting his or her fill or problems can be addressed and solutions and alternative feeding methods can be explored.

Both weighing and measuring how long babies are at each doctor’s visit helps parents know that their child is on track with their physical development. Baby’s weight, length, and head circumference are charted and compared to the baby’s previous checkup as well as to the national average for children of the same age and sex. Knowing how their child ranks on the charts compared to the national average helps many parents know where their child stands and if they are on track developmentally, which gives many parents peace of mind.

The Temecula Valley is fast becoming one the best wine-making regions in Southern California. For the past ten years, the number of wineries in Temecula has more than doubled. The area’s reputation for making fine wine is on the rise as they continue to win major wine competitions.

Typically, Napa Valley takes the top honors, but this year at the California State Fair, it was announced that it’s Best of Class and Best of Show wasn’t going to a Napa, but to Temecula Valley.

What makes Temecula Valley an ideal region for winemaking is the hot air that comes from the Desert and the cool breezes that comes in through the Marguerita and De Luz passes. This perfect environment allows vineyards to produce a wide variety of grapes. Some of the wines produced in Temecula wineries are Zinfandel, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon.

The history of wine making starts back in the 1820’s when the first vineyard was established in Temecula at the mission. It wasn’t until the 1960’s when developers first started to create what is known as Wine Country today.

The first two wineries that opened in 1967 and 1968 respectively were Bella Vista Cilurzo Winery and Vineyard and Callaway Winery. Although considered a small wine-making region, Temecula is home to twenty vineyards. Each winery has its own distinct wine and style. Navigating through each vineyard alphabetically, at Alex’s Red Barn Winery, you’ll enjoy Cabernet Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, produced in one of the oldest vineyards in the Valley. Baily’s Vineyard and Winery was established in 1986 and produces mostly Merlot, Meritage and Cabernet Sauvignon from grapes provided by four different vineyards in Temecula.

Bella Vista and Callaway Wineries are next both the oldest vineyards in the Valley and also both produce Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. Churon Winery is not only a wine making vineyard but also has accommodations in their charming French Style Chateau Bed & Breakfast. Wines you’ll enjoy here will be Merlot, Syrah and Chardonnay.

At Falkner Winery, you’ll be able to sample award-winning wines such as Viognier, Merlot, Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc and Amante. Both the Hart Winery and Keyways Vineyard & Winery produce Merlot’s and Sauvignon Blanc’s.

For a resort feel, South Coast Winery is a one-stop destination to indulge in your favorite wine or relax in your private villa overlooking the vineyards. Not far way is Thornton Winery who is best known for their Champagne. The Victorian style Maurice Car’rie Winery sits on 46 acres and has a large selection of wines to choose from.

Some other notable wineries in the Valley include Leonesse Cellars, Miramonte Winery, Mount Palomar Winery, Oak Mountain Winery and Palumbo Family Vineyard & Winery who produce 1500 cases of wine each year.

Rounding out the wineries are Stuart Cellars Winery, Wiens Family Cellars, and Wilson Creek Winery & Vineyard. Wilson Creek is known for their incredible Almond Champagne.

For those passionate about wine and wine-making, there is no need to drive up the coast to Napa when Temecula Valley has what you need and more!

If you’re planning a weekend trip, taking in Nashville, Tennessee’s historical attractions can be an adventure. To help you along, Nashville offers an assortment of guided tours through some of their major historical sites.

Tennessee’s history began in 1796 when it became the 16th state of the Union. The name of Tennessee comes from the Cherokee name Tanasai, which was a Village in the area.
With the first arrivals of settlers in the 1790’s, such as Timothy Demontbruen, James Robertson and the Donelson Party, Tennessee quickly cut it ties as being known as the western part of North Carolina, and later The State of Franklin, and applied for admission into the Union. Within the next century, Tennessee found itself transformed from a trading post, frequented by fur traders from the Mississippi river to the Upper Illinois territories; to a thriving Educational and Commerce center.

In the 1840’s educator Philip Lindsay thought that Nashville should encourage the ideals of Classical Greek education, such as Philosophy and Latin and be known as the Athens of the West. Nashville would later be given a similar nick-name; Athens of the South.

One of the stops on the guided tour in Nashville is the Belle Meade Plantation Tour. Be guided by a knowledgeable tour guide garbed in 19th Century outfits. Highlights from the tour are the plantation house built in 1853 Victorian inspired Mansion, the 1890 Carriage house and stable and 1790 Log Cabin known as the old building in Tennessee. The tour will include displays of rare antiques from that era. The tour gives you a glimpse back into that time period and all its grandeur.

You can’t visit Nashville without visiting the Ryman Auditorium at the Grand Ole Opry. Country music fans will delight in the exhibits that display clothing from Ryman performers from past and present. For a special treat, you can take a backstage guided tour and get a rare glimpse through some of the dressing rooms. The Ryman self-guided tour will walk you through the legendary halls and offers a short film about the Ryman’s history from its early roots.

Enjoy a Civil War tour through Nashville. The guide will walk you through the very fields of the Battle of Franklin where so many soldiers perished. The tour is six hours and includes reenacted stories from soldiers from that time period and a visit to the Carnton Plantation to learn about its role in the war.

The Hermitage Mansion Museum has a guided tour that takes you through the estate of President Andrew Jackson. The tour will walk you through this magnificent estate, gardens he and his wife kept, log farmhouse, and the outer buildings that supported the mansion that are still perfectly preserved today. You’ll discover how he lived and many new and interesting facts about the 7th President of the United States.

Start planning your weekend getaway and take advantage of the many historical guided tours Nashville has to offer.
